Why should you listen to me for advice on aebleskiver?
In 1966 I started the Solvang Restaurant in Solvang California and made aebleskiver my specialty. It kind of evolved. Not that I set out to be an expert on this particular food item. We did experiment for awhile, until the recipe we used became very famous and is now the standard in the business.
We served aebleskiver for breakfast, lunch and in between snacks. The automatic desert was always aebleskiver and soon the word spread and people lined up for them all day long. We sold them by the thousands and when we started to bag the mix and sell it to the customers, that too became extremely popular. We sold it by the tons every day. People wrote and called for them and we build a huge mail order business.
We were also asked where they could buy the pans and I soon realized I could sell them in the restaurant, so that became a huge sideline also.
Over the years we have tried every single pan that became available on the market. We tested them for usability and ease of care. There was no pan I did not have a test result on and people kept asking me for advise.
When we sold the restaurant to retire, I decided to keep some of the pans. We kept selling the pans to friends and former customers and it was a natural, that when I decided to start selling pans on eBay and my website, I could advise which ones were the good ones.
When you are shopping to find the best pan for your use, you are always welcome to consult with me for free. Let me know what kind of stove the pan will be used on and how much you plan on using it and I will stir you in the right direction.

Sometimes I am asked when is it a good occasion to serve aebleskiver? Well, I will say the best times is serving them as a breakfast item or as an afternoon snack. Aebleskiver is not a main meal, but a delicious snack item. Also used as a dessert it is sure to being remembered by your guests. One thing you should be prepared to is letting them see how you make your aebleskiver. That in itself is something they will cherrish.
So next time you are going to have company coming over, whip out your trusted pan and make it a time to remember for them.

CAN THE AEBELSKIVER DRY MIX BE USED TO MAKE PANCAKES OR WAFFLES? IF SO, WHAT ADJUSTMENTS (IF ANY) ARE NECESSARY.? WILL AWAIT YOUR REPLY
You can use the aebleskiver mix to make pancakes also. You will have to add a little more milk according to your taste. Waffles will come out to soft, but if you like them that way, it will work also.

I was in Solvang this last April and saw everyone eating aebleskivers and I said to myself that before we left, we would stop and get some. Problem was I arrived 5 minutes too late as they closed down at 4pm. I have to tell you I was heart broken not to get to try one of the yummy looking treats. However, I am not easily discouraged and so when I got back home I did a Google search for aebleskivers and found your website, watched your video and decided to order one of your kits with the pan. That was the best thing I ever did!
Since then I have cooked them for my family who loved them and recently I had a night with my friends where we cooked them up for dessert. It was one of the best nights out I’ve had in a long time and we all enjoyed cooking these together. I just wanted to say thank you for making a great product. I ran out of the mix from my first order, but tried the recipe in the Danish cookbook that also comes with the kit and this worked nicely. Thanks again!

We have some great news on the electric aebleskiver pans. They are coming!! We have just signed the contract and the funds for production are paid. Delivery date should be around Septermber-October some time. Thst is the closest we can tell you at this point.

The event is coming closer. Today we just received the test model of the electric aebleskiver pan. We will be testing it over the weekend and hope to have them released for production on Monday. It is a beauty! This model will have eight holes for faster baking. We were hoping to have nine as in the flat bottom pan, but there just was not enough room for it.

It is hot here. Summer is upon us. This is the time I had expected the new electric powered aebleskiver pans would be ready. We did get the test model last week and have tried it in any way possible. We found a couple of flaws and have notified them regarding this. It should be corrected very soon and then it is on to production.

Beauty has been a gift for women since ancient times. Though it sounds partial, beautiful women have always been given preference over an average looking woman. I used to live in Solvang! Way back n the 80’s when I was in High School. My best friend at the time was Sandra Petersen. Dausghter of Shirley and Arne Petersen. I think you may know both of them.. (although Arne Petersen passed away in 98 or 99). I know I was in your store A LOT when I was a teenager, as I had friends that worked for you. I worked at Rocky Mountain Choc.!
I currently live in OK with my husband and 3 children. A number of years ago I brought my family home to vacation and expeirince Danish Days. We had so much fun! That day, we all ate POUNDS of aebleskiver! My husbands’ bday is approaching, and he asked for a pan and mix! (It’s the 1st we are able to celebrate together in many years, as he is in the Army and has been deployed to Iraq and Korea for long periods of tme.. It always seems that we miss Bdays and X-mas!) We are able to celebrate his bday with him this year, and after all this time… this is what he wants! So, i came on line today to search, you are who I found! Imagine my pleasure to see my beloved Solvang and your store!
